Extractions?

Unfortunately, sometimes teeth are so badly broken down or in such poor gum health that they require removal.

Can I use my Merdeka/Pioneer Generation or CHAS card for subsidies?

Yes! Subsidy rates vary for the different cards. Call us to enquire more.

Can I use Medisave?

Unfortunately, Medisave cannot be used for extractions.

What can I expect?

Our gentle dentists will give you an injection prior to extractions. You will experience some numbness and pressure during the procedure. It is usually otherwise generally painless.

What can I expect after dentures?

Congratulations on completing you extraction!

You will still experience numbness for about 2 to 5 hours.

The swelling and pain usually ease off.

Gauze will be issued for the extracted area. Bite hard on the gauze and change it every 30 minutes.

Do not spit or rinse for 2 hours after the extraction.

Avoid any hot food or drinks and soft diet is advisable.

Gently brush the area starting from the day after the extraction, it is normal to experience a small amount of bleeding from the wound.
